New Challenges to Global Security: Society, Business, Technology

About the conference, conference topics
The aim of the conference is to offer an insight into the newest challenges for security in both the global and the local context. The theme of the conference is divided into three sections: security will be discussed in the context of technology, business and broadly understood social issues. There will be several plenary sessions, workshops and discussions. The conference is international in its scope and will be held in Polish and English, with translation provided by the organizers. A publication of conference papers is planned.
The conference aims to attract individuals with a background in broadly understood security, be it in a theoretical or practical aspect: academics, teachers, business people, representatives of state and local authorities or uniformed services.

Call for papers – participation requirements
• The participation form must be submitted (online or by post) and the conference fee must be paid by 25.04.2014 (see details of the bank account at the bottom of this page)
• Papers and discussions will be held in Polish and English, with the help of translators.
• The conference committee reserves the right to amend the range of topics once all papers are submitted.
• A peer reviewed monograph will be published and copies sent to authors by the end of December 2014. Authors will not be paid royalties.
• The text of the conference presentation must not exceed 10 standard A4 pages and must be submitted by email or on a CD by 30.06.2014
• The final conference schedule and a detailed programme will be available by 5 May 2014.
• The conference fee of 350 PLN covers conference materials, the monograph publication costs and the costs of a banquet on 27 May 2014. The accommodation costs must be paid separately, and the final amount including the fee, accommodation and meals (as specified in the participation form) should be paid to the following bank account:
